Welcome to the Sunglow Retreat, an Arizona Guesthouse nestled in the foothills of the Chiracahua Mountains at an altitude of 5800 ft. Watching the glow of the mountains as the sun sets one will understand the name Sunglow Retreat.
Secluded and bordered by the Sunglow Ranch and National Forest, the stargazing is beyond belief, far from the lights of towns or homes. The property is ideal for those who would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic and noise and spend some time relaxing in nature.
Our guesthouse is situated on Cottonwood Creek which runs seasonally, usually during the monsoons, but also during wet winters. You can hike for miles through evergreen oak, juniper, sycamores and manzanita, enjoying the many form of wildlife such as deer and wild turkeys who come to beg for corn each day.
We invite you to enjoy our five rescue horses and Frijole, the resident donkey, along with chickens, dogs and a desert tortoise named Ted.
This particular area is well known to avid bird watchers. The variety is amazing in this southeastern Arizona Sky Island. During the season we feed hundreds of hummingbirds each day.
